Task:
As was the case in the Honduras exercise, you are working for an NGO and have a budget of $500,000/year for three years.
  1. Using the Intervention Design Grid to stimulate your thinking, create a simple intervention for your assigned SO. List the intervention's key activities along with target groups for each activity.
  2. Create 1 QQTP IR key indicator for your assigned SO. Use the Performance Management Plan Indicator Worksheet to present indicator details. As you develop your IR indicator, keep in mind the MDG indicators.
  3. Use the Indicator Assessment Tool to assess and improve the quality of your work.

BIG IDEAS
1.  A change in knowledge does not equal a change in behaviour.
2.  80% of a problem comes from 20% of the principles (Pareto)
3. You are not a servant of the tool  - it is there to serve you.
4. The path of least resistance leads to really great results. Eg Beryl's example of providing resources at the community's request sometimes makes complete sense.
5. Positive deviance - in every community, somebody's doing a good job. Find out who's doing it and help others learn from them because its local.
6. Development is an iterative process.
